The revised book,

	D. Comer and T. Fossum
	Operating System Design, The Xinu Approach (PC edition)
	Prentice Hall, 1988

Has been typeset and is being printed (was actually typeset last week and is
being printed and bound over the next couple of weeks).  The publisher has a
scheduled in-stock date (their technical jargon for having physical books in
hand) of March 16.  The software is temporarily available from:

if you contact fegan he can get you the pc-xinu disks now. they are the same
as the book version (regular xinu) only without the cross-development stuff.

Hello.

  The new book,

	D. Comer & T. Fossum,
	Operating System Design vol. I: The XINU Approach (PC Edition)
	Prentice Hall, 1988

Is due out in the next week or so.  In addition, Prentice Hall is
distributing the PC Xinu software on diskette.  The editor in charge
of the project at Prentice Hall is Jim Fegen Jr. (201)-592-3122.  He or
his assistant Diana can give you detailed information on ordering and
will be glad to help instructors obtain an examination copy of the
text.

You should also know that Timothy Fossum at University of Wisconsin-Parkside
now has a large memory version of the software as well.  You can write to
