Need Xinu info .....
I have a single board computer with:
- 10 MHz 68000 processor
- 128K ram
- 64K rom
- 9026 arcnet chip set
- a couple of serial ports
I would like to port Xinu to this box, along with the internetworking code.
Can someone out there in Xinu land recommend a Xinu version to start this
port with? Who do I contact to get the sources?
Just need basic info in order to get this thing started.
I have both volumes 1 and 2 of Comer's Xinu books. Comer states in section
1.6 of volume 2 (I quote directly) :
"As the output shows, the Xinu system that was executing,
including the communication software, remote file system,
naming system, shell, and commands like ruptime, requires
about 53K bytes of memory".
If indeed this entire OS fits into 53K bytes of memory, then this is the
particular version that I am looking for.
