I saw somewhere recently (perhaps in a Dr. Dobbs) an article which mentioned and lifted some algorithms from a book about the Xinu "approach" - which is about all I remember of the title. I remember nothing of the author. (I did remember this stuff long enough to check out that our library here does have it - but alas, memory is so fleeting...) Can anybody help me out? Operating System Design
The Xinu Approach
by Douglas Comer
Prentice-Hall ISBN 0-13-637539-1
As an aside, I heard the Electronic Data Systems was building a database
machine and basing its OS on Xinu.
Douglas's book is a very accessible tutorial on OSs - just packed with
source code. I've dipped into it now and then to, ahem, see how Xinu
does it.
