I'm interested in using XINU for one of my classes. Please send any information which may be helpful to me to get XINU to run on a PC. Also, I don't get on NEWS often. If you would send the info to: rtl@cuphub.cup.edu Thanks. - Bob Little

From Bob Little:
I'm interested in using XINU for one of my classes.
Please send any information which may be helpful to me
to get XINU to run on a PC.
I'm also planning to use PC-XINU in an OS course this coming spring
semester. There is a version of Comer's text, co-authored with Tim
Fossum, that is based on a PC version of XINU. The details:
Operating System Design Volume I The XINU Approach
Douglas Comer, Timothy Fossum
Prentice Hall, 1988
ISBN 0-13-638180-4 (v. 1)
The PC-XINU source code is also available. I have an old (c. 1986)
version of the source that predates the version of XINU discussed in
the text. Unfortunately, I'm having a lot of trouble locating the
current version of the source.
Please let me know if I can be of any other help.
