We're using vols. I and II of "Operating System Design: The XINU approach" for two fairly popular lab-oriented O.S. courses. Is there a new volume in the series that covers the virtual memory system contained in XINU version 8? Also, is there any plan to come out with Sun-3 versions of the books? Thanks, -- Phil

What a concept! Does anyone know which CPU's are currently supported? --- Stu

We currently have version 8 running on Sun 3s and Microvaxen, and we're doing a port to the DECstation 3100 (but Digital hasn't told us yet whether we can release it). We will put together a beta release (i.e. a snapshot) of the VM code this summer. As for books, the answer is "maybe" (I'm just too busy these days to get the time required). Cheers, Doug
