Whew! With all this interest in Rainbows, I'm beginning to believe there's still life in them thar machines! I'm in charge of a Rainbow users' group here at the Univ of Penn; we've got about 50+ members. One of our activities is a monthly newsletter, and most of the articles are program reviews. I'm fairly certain there are other people out there who also work with newsletters for their own users' groups. Would anyone be interested in circulating a similar newsletter on INFO-DEC-MICRO? Would this be in line with INFO-DEC-MICRO's purpose? If a few people with access to such newsletters could e-mail them privately to one or two "editors", it would be a simple matter to piece together a fairly interesting newsletter for INFO-DEC-MICRO. Individually, there are few newsletters whose articles are consistently good; jointly, I'm certain we can come up with a fairly good newsletter. I'm willing to act as one of the "editors". Any other takers? I'd also like to see a list of people still selling Rainbow- specific software/hardware. Perhaps we could compile one? Finally, I'd be interested in figuring out which programs will run on a Rainbow (w/ + w/o Code Blue) even though they are not advertised as such. Of course, everyone is aware that MS-DOS compilers (until recently) would run with no trouble on the Rainbow. Are there any other such programs? George P.S. I myself have a Rainbow 100A that's been TRUMPed up to a B, a 20MB Seagate, 896K, and a soon to arrive Panasonic 1091i printer. Most of my time I use the Rainbow for word processing and Pascal programming, and I occasionally use it with PC-File.
