This was intended for beyer@tc.fluke.com, but I couldn't send back to him successfully... Everyone can benefit from this anyway! The pinouts to hook a DEC printer to an IBM are as follows: DEC printer IBM Serial port 2--------------------------3 3--------------------------2 7--------------------------7 11------------------------5 & 6 1--------------------------1 with ready/busy protocall enabled. I would rather think that the same general setup would work from an IBM printer to a Rainbow serial port, but I have not had the opportunity to test this as yet... If you do, please let me know the outcome. If I get an IBM printer and test this first, I will surely let you know. Good luck! jls@tntech.bitnet
