And now for the continuing saga of the Andrew mailer.... The previous problem with the occasional doubling of messages was due to the fact that our distribution list for this forum was too large for the Andrew mailer to handle in a single cycle, hence the double queueing of the messages. This has now been fixed in two ways. One is that the list has been divided into three parts, each small enough for the mailer. The other solution is the fixing of the mailer so it can handle the larger lists. Between the two fixes, we should be all set. As to the recent outflow of somewhere between 10 and 20 duplicates of a pair of messages, it seems that the messages got caught in the middle of something or another and I have been assured that it won't happen again. So the end result is that the Info-DEC-Micro list is being brought back on-line in it's immediate mode, where single messages will be immediately forwarded. This should occur probably early Wednesday morning. If you continue to receive duplicate mail, please forward all copies of the duplicates to me so that I can determine where the duplication is occurring. Again, thank you for your patience. --Rob Locke List Maintainer ------- Arpanet: rl1b+@andrew.cmu.edu Bitnet : y615rl1b@CMCCVB Fidonet: Rob Locke (1:129/15) USNail : 5419 Normlee Place Pittsburgh, PA 15217 USA
