To all PRO350/380 owners or the most expensive power supply
successfully marketed or oversized power-sucking terminal
to a larger system, the following helps you maintain it
for a little while before placing it next to those 16k Core
boards you plan to show your kids when they want to see
an antique computer part or to show there friends the same.
I have found removing the .13 amp fan from the power supply
and replacing it with a .24 amp makes a big difference in its
life amoung the living, also the fan noise can be reduced by a
small piece of filter screen from a back door of a vax or drive
cabinet that sits all day and night sucking dust too.
I myself have found them to be great looking bookends to all
of my manuals of the still being maintained DEC equipment.
Merry Xmas to all, and Happy New Years 1988.
