Ok, folks...
I am sorry. I goofed. For all the Rainbow V2.05 users out there,
I apologize! Before shipping the code for the demo I wrote, I
made some last minute changes. One of them, however, won't let
you run the demo on V2.05 systems! The reason: look at the return
value for the CheckDOSVersion function. You'll notice (expression)
> qver. The > should have been >=. Obviously! Thanks to Chris
Harting for e-mailing me with the bug. For those of you who don't
have Turbo Pascal V4.0 or the desire to convert it to V3.0, you
can patch the RBDEMO3.EXE program and change one byte to make it
work. At offset 0949hex, change the value 72hex to 76hex. This
will correct this minor, offensive bug.
I will now go prostrate myself in a pool of honey. Release the
African army ants!
