[net.micro] Info wanted: Sharp EL5500II pocket computer

marty@hou2b.UUCP (M.BRILLIANT) (01/07/85)

According to the manual, my Sharp EL-5500II pocket computer has a
CMOS microprocessor, 40K of ROM, and roughly 4K of user-accessible RAM.
I found three undocumented functions that access absolute addresses:
PEEK, POKE, and CALL. I know what PEEK and POKE do. I think CALL
makes it jump to a given address and start executing machine code
there, but I can't use it until I know the processor instruction
set. I don't even know the name of the microprocessor.

Can anybody tell me (or help me find out) what the instruction set
is for the microprocessor in the Sharp EL-5500II, or at least identify
it? Is there any chance of getting a map of ROM?
