I pick up most of the mailings to comp.sys.dec.micro, which compared to similar groups like ibm pc is not very active, Anyway, I have a Rainbow machine which likes to run som of the software I have only seen the name of through this news network. I understand that there are some BBS in the States that have specialized on Rainbow software. Beeing in Europe, cost and modem-standards prohibit using these BBS's. Is it possible for someone with a nice connection to this network to post some useful (for whom?) software specific to the Rainbow along the lines of what is done in comp.binaries.ibm.pc? More specific: 1. I have noticed that somebody has modified the BIOS in order to use double-sided floppy-drives? But I have not been able to reach the man nor the code. 2. How about some drivers and stuff for interfacing a mouse to the Rainbow RS-232 port? I have access to a Logitech mouse, so this would be the mouse of choice. 3. Just recently I saw a call for implementing some screen graphics standards (Tek4010?) into the Rainbow version of Kermit, but the posting noted that nobody had a clue of how to reach the graphics board! If I am correct, I have seen references to some DEC graphics library for the Rainbow in this newsgroup. And even other graphics libraries! If public domain, please post them to this newsgroup! They may be useful to more people.
