WE HAVE A MICROVAX WITH STANDARD DEFAULT ACCOUNTS AND RUN ONE DETACHED PROCESS THAT WE ARE USING FOR LAB EQUIPMENT. THE PROCESS OCASSIONALLY GETS STUCK IN A STATE ("RWAST" WHICH AS I UNDERSTAND TRANSLATES TO "RESOURCE WAIT FOR ASYNCHRONOUS SYSTEM TRAP"). SOMEONE TOLD ME TO RUN THE ANALYZER AND THIS IS THE OUTPUT THAT IT GAVE ME. THE PROCESS USES ONLY QIO'S AND AST'S. OTHER THAN THAT WE USE JUST BASIC LEVEL FORTRAN IN OUR PROCESSES.DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH QUALIFIER I HAVE TO INCREASE TO MAKE THIS PROBLEM STOP HAPPENING? HERE IS THE OUTPUT FROM THE ANALYZER: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> VAX/VMS System analyzer Process index: 000B Name: EQUIP Extended PID: 0000002B ------------------------------------------------------- Process status: 00040023 RES,DELPEN,RESPEN,PHDRES IB address 80214970 Swapfile disk address 01000A21 Subprocess count 0 Creator internal PID 00000000 Creator extended PID 00000000 Termination mailbox 0000 AST's enabled KES AST's active NONE AST's remaining 5 Buffered I/O count/limit 0/18 Direct I/O count/limit 18/18 BUFIO byte count/limit 6510/7968 # open files allowed left 13 Timer entries allowed left 8 Active page table count 0 Process WS page count 169 Global WS page count 31 PCB address 80166D20 PHD address 803E5E00 Master internal PID 0001000B Internal PID 0000002B State RWAST Current priority 6 Base priority 4 UIC [00100,000032] Mutex count 0 Waiting EF cluster 0 Starting wait time 1B001B1A Event flag wait mask 00000001 Local EF cluster 0 80000007 Local EF cluster 80000000 Global cluster 2 pointer 00000000 Global cluster 3 pointer 00000000 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Please reply to the bitnet address below as I am not yet on the INFO-DEC-MICRO mailing list.
