Bob -

Go for it! My DEC Rainbow 100+ came with an RD31 when I bought it a few
years ago. It works perfect for me under both Rainbow MS-DOS 2.11-1 and
CP/M 2.10. The formatter(s) handle it just fine. Even this 20mb disk
is starting to feel small on my system; I couldn't even imagine 10mb ;-).

Note that there are a few handy public domain utilities and patches for
hard-disks available on the Rainbow. Although you probably won't want to
"mess" with them initially, they are quite useful... Drop me a line if
you want more info on these. One, in particular, cures a fairly serious
bug in the way Rainbow MS-DOS handles "bad spots" on the hard-disk.
