I want to add my voice in support of net postings of Rainbow PD software.
I've gotten the postings so far (although I already had some of them) and
I've also recently posted the latest (4.1) version of my program JOBSDUMP,
uuencoded in 2 parts. If anyone did NOT get the latter, please send me
mail directly, and I'll try to get a copy to you individually.
My problem has rarely been one of access to programs I knew about;
more often than not, there was some neat piece of PD software that did
what I was looking for, but I didn't even know of its existence.
I believe there are many people out there still committed to their
Rainbows. Perhaps the problem is that (a) many are in the hands of
institutions that are not going to be as passionate about their machines
as those of us who personally own them and (b) many are not in the USA.
This distribution list represents a great forum for ensuring the usefulness
of our EXPENSIVE machines far into the future. Let's not let it go down
the tubes!
