[comp.sys.dec.micro] Looking for new Kermit-MS GT 2.29.1 for RB100+

efb@suned1.UUCP (Everett F. Batey II) (10/27/88)

I understand there is a new version (2.3, 3.x ..) with scripts of Kermit-MS.
Will it run on DEC RB100+ with for 250 MByte RAM? Anyone with exact guidance
on getting it intact? Have Kermit-MS (2.29) access to VMS VAX which VAX has
access to Internet. Looking for where I can FTP it to me? Can I then Kermit
it BINARY to my RB without having to do assembles and ohter garbage?

How about the lastest PKXARC for same RB.

Does anybody know if Caroline Mack and IRUG are still publishing. My credit
card got stamped but that was all I heard nearly a year ago .. /Ev/

Everett,

Well, it hasn't been fully announced yet, because I haven't finished writing
the help documentation for it, but there is a machine that I am maintaining for
people to use to access these files.

You want to ftp to Drycas.Club.CC.CMU.EDU. From there login as anonymous.
You can then CD [.INFO-DEC-MICRO]. If you do a DIR at this point, you will see
two directories that you can move in to. One is [.ARCHIVES] which contains the
message archives for most of the past twelve months (I'd have more but that's
when I took over maintenance of the list). The other directory is [.FILES]
which contains various .ARC files. Two of the files are PK361.EXE and
KER231.ARC. Just make sure you have the TYPE set to IMAGE or BINARY. Then you
can download using Kermit. I will hopefully have help files and lists of what's
in there by the end of this weekend and they will be announced over the net.

If you need any help, feel free to send me some mail at any of the below
addresses.
