I have a VT-180 (ROBIN) that I'm trying to get an Epson fx-80 printer to work with. I have a null modem cable which several people have verified is wired properly and the printer has a serial port. Problem is, nothing gets printed out when data is sent to the printer. I have also verified that the printer and VT-180 are set for 9600 bps, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. It also doesn't work at lower speeds. It DOES work on an IBM PC/XT, so I know the printer is OK. I suspect that there is a control line problem with the way the cable is set up. Can anyone who has a VT-180 with a working printer tell me how you got it to work ?? Thanks in advance. Please respond via e-mail as I don't normally subscribe to this newsgroup. -- Robert N.
