Does anyone know of a reasonably inexpensive way to transfer documents stored on old DecMate 8 inch floppy disks to an MS-DOS PC? Plain text files without the word processing formatting would be fine. The people with the disks and the PC have 2 DecMates, but neither has the communications option board. Are the communications boards available somewhere, or is it possible to make a cable to do the transfer through the printer port on the DecMate? If anyone has any information on this or has transferred documents theirselves, I'd appreciate hearing about it. James Talley talley-j@osu-20.ircc.ohio-state.edu
