Anyone out there know how to convert DEC files to IBM PC? Let me know. Jean T.

There are many ways to do this: 1) If you are trying to go from a Rainbow Running MS-DOS to an IBM PC with a double sided dual density drive (a PC, XT or the bottom drive in an AT) Then the easiest way is to FORMAT a disk on the PC as a single sided disk (use the /1 switch) and then take the disk to the rainbow to copy files to be read on the PC. The disk should either be a new disk, or it should be bulk erased before if is used for this operation as the 96 TPI heads on the rainbow can not erase the data in a 48 TPI track. 2)If the IBM PC has a high density drive (IBM PC/AT) then the easiest thing to do is get the public domain RX50 driver for the AT. This will allow you do read the Rainbow disks directly on the AT. *---Art * *Arthur T.
