rl1b+@ANDREW.CMU.EDU ("Robert A. Locke") (05/25/89)
I just wanted to let people know that all mail requests for files that are sent to <Info-DEC-Micro-Files@andrew.cmu.edu> should be handled within one week (at the very outside, usually is done within a day or two). If you do not get anything within that time, please resend the request. There is a possibility that the shipment of the files to you is getting thrown into someone's bit-bucket along the way, and I did not get a proper rejection notice. Also include in the mail that it is a second request for the file. Thanks. I did receive a suggestion to see if I could get WSSI v4.02 by Bob Babcock. As I suggested in my announcement, I would really like people to make submissions to the archives and not have me running to all the various Rainbow BBS's looking for the programs. So if you do have this particular one, or you know of some other programs that should be included in the archive, please place it somewhere where I can ftp it, or get RALUUCOD from me and uuencode the file and send it to me. One final thought - please, if you are going to make a submission, use PKZip to archive the file(s) first. I want all files in the archive to be made using PKZip so folks won't need to keep tens (as opposed to hundreds :-) ) of archivers around.
