This is the first time I've posted to this news group so please bear with me if this is the incorrect news group for such a request ... :-) I need Kermit for a MicroVax II running VMS. Its a pretty bare bones system that we're trying to expand right now. First of all, I'd like to know whether Kermit is public domain or not ... I've heard conflicting views on this one. Secondly, if it is public, how can I get my hands on it. I need it in a binary format since we don't have a compiler for that machine. I haven't called the dec salesman yet, somehow I have the feeling I'd be charged for public domain software there ... :-) Thanks in advance for any assistance.
