Comments: Rainbow Echomail from RUDIE SLAUGHTER Read: YES On or about September 17, 1989, the GOLD-Date&Time function in WPS versions 1.2 (and earlier) for Rainbow ceased to function correctly. The day-of-the-wee calculation no longer works. It is stuck on Sunday or else outputs a garbage string for the day of the week or else geenrates a string too long error message and dumps back to the menu. I presume that there is an integer overfl error somewhere in the day-of-the-week algorithm caused by Sept. 17 being 32K days beyond some historical date. Does anybody know of a fix for this bug? Is DEC interested? Yes, I know that there are newer versions of WPS out. However, our site never updated because of deficiencies in the communication scripting capabilit of the newer versions. We have also failed to maintain a current software maintainence and support contract with DEC, so your help would be greatly appreciated. And yes, We know everyone else is using Word Perfect.
