Which of the DEC micros can format RX50 diskettes for VMS? VAXen have to use pre-formatted SSDD RX50 diskettes, and our supply system only stocks un-formatted ones. Thanks! I've got a PRO 350 at home that also uses RX50 disks, and like your VAXen it needs pre-formatted disks. I did discover though that the DECmate II (using the standard WPS software) can fully format RX50 disks. The disk will need to be initialized, which your VAX should be able to do (the 350 can). Hope this helps, Bruce. ============================================================================== Bruce Thompson | "I've got this terrible pain in all the NovAtel Communications Ltd. | diodes down my left side" - Marvin the brucet@ksi.cpsc.UCalgary.CA | Paranoid Android The opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily reflect those of NovAtel Communications Ltd. nor those of The University of Calgary.
