I want to back up some huge files, I have found that invoking the Pro backup utility will do this under my P/OS V3.2 system, either from the menu or as a command line item, but have checked it only when backing up the entire disk in the RSX BRU /IMAGE:SAVE and /IMAGE:RESTORE formats. I have not tried it for single files. A workaround would be to install the DECUS virtual disks utility, put the file(s) on a virtual disk just large enough to contain them, and then back up the virtual disk. Another possible alternative might be to Kermit out the files to another system, if one has a host with a fast comm link and enough free space.
