[comp.sys.dec.micro] rainbow serial ports ?? tcp/ip, free stuff

bill@hpfcdj.HP.COM (Bill Morrison ) (02/22/91)

I would like to find a source for information on the rainbow, in particular
the set up of the serial ports on the rainbow.

The reason that I would like this is to be able to port the ka9q tcp/ip
code to the rainbow. If you have not heard of this code, see
rec.ham-radio.packet for more discussion. It provides
ftp and telnet capabilities through serial ports. It is really targeted
at the ham radio 2 meter packet radio folks.

Well anyway, I have some old modem source and could look through that,
but I am particularly confused about the interaction of the z80 and 8088
and the serial ports.

By the way, I have a corvus disk-network-file_server interface card that
I can not see myself ever using. I would like to trade it for any documentation
I could get my hands on, but if you would use it, could think about using it,
have even seen one being used (ever), have ever heard of it before, or even
seen it in a catalog once 8 years ago, and want it, you can have it for $0.00
(US or Canadian).

If you have any interest in this above stuff, drop me a line.
