[comp.sys.dec.micro] Kermit or some other neat terminal emulation program....

Okay, I've just kind of "inherited" a used Rainbow 100B. (I think it is the
B model) Anyway, it has 256k RAM, a Graphics Option Board, and a dual Floppy
Drive. I looked at what appears to be the RAM board, and it looks like one
board connected to the motherboard with a through connector, and another
board on top of that. The top board has slotted chips.

Question 1) Can I just slot in some 256k DRAMs to upgrade the memory? What
speed do I need?

Question 2) Where can I get a program such as Kermit or the like that would
allow me to do file transfers and other such neat-o stuff. I'm in kind of a
catch-22 situation, in that I have no terminal program to download with, so
I can't get a terminal program to download with... I guess it would be nice
if some kind soul could send me a bootable disk (ms-dos or CPM) that would
allow me to do such things, and I would reimburse the sender... if that is
my only option at this point...
