remember me? I'm the kid with the report due on space, then I got the
hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. my teacher thought I was nuts.
(hope they dont pull my subscription for that)
;)
well, my pro-350 crashed again. running p/os 1.7 and executed an application
prose, when I pressed the F12 key to get a pull down menu, the last couple of
rows of the screen turned into garbage and it locked up. shut it off, turned
it on and ran prose again, F12 worked fine. this is the first time it crashed
and didnt give me the graphic error message. I have yet to see any pattern to
what causes the crashes. am going to start a log to keep track of them, maybe
I can find a pattern.

once I ran a self diagnostic test (an application program) and it said there
was an error with the math processor, but every time I've run it since then
says its fine.

the point of all this is: "does this sound familiar to anyone?!?"
I thought this might be caused by a bad section on the hard drive, that might
be causing this. is there any way I could check this?

otherwise I'll keep a log and post again after I get a few crashes.

onto the subject of software, if DEC has released its PRO software as freeware,
is there someplace that distributes the latest copies (please, oh please, don't
flame the neophyte for asking this), and if this includes DEC released
applications, does that mean the Command Language is also freeware? (i have
version 1.x and it sorely needs upgrading)
