One day about a year ago someone posted a detailed message here about how to get a LA50 to work on an IBM-type computer. I didn't pay much attention then, not owning an LA50. But now I'm trying to get WordPerfect 5.1 to run the LA50 aand it doesn't seem to work. Yes, I know it's a serial printer but that doesn't seem to be enough. Is there a way not only to get it to print from within WP 5.1 on an IBM but also to send the various codes for things like underlining and letter quality? Thanks! If you have it doing 'dumb' printing, and your LA-50 is NOT one of the 75% that have broken flow-control, you need a WPF LA-50 printer driver. ISTM they did NOT provide one for 5.1, but did for 5.0. You CAN, with PTR.EXE, I think, convert the old one. There are some problems with that, but it's better than not having one at all. -- A host is a host from coast to coast.....wb8foz@mthvax.cs.miami.edu & no one will talk to a host that's close............(305) 255-RTFM Unless the host (that isn't close)......................pob 570-335 is busy, hung or dead....................................33257-0335
