After a lot of searching, and bothering a lot of people, I still haven't got a clear answer on what it takes to add a 3rd party expansion disk to an RT. I have determined that ordianry ESDI disks from either Maxtor or Micropolis will not work. However, I have now located a company in England that can supply CDC disks, 160 Mb formatted, that they way work fine. There is apparently something they have to do with the formatting on the disk to get it to work in the RT. They wouldn't tell me what, but they are willing to sell me one (of course). If anyone knows what is so special about the RT disk formats, or better yet what one has to do to format a disk this way, I would be interested in hearing about it. In any case, I'll probably just go ahead and buy one from England. A 160 Mb is better than a 70 or 114, anyway. jw
