[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] Pinouts for RT serial ports?

bunda@cs.utexas.edu (John Bunda) (05/19/89)

I can't seem to find them, not even in the Hardware Reference. Does
anyone have the pinout definitions for the 10-pin serial ports?

Thanks---
John

Sure, look under 'RS-232C Adapter' in the third volume. Just in case
you don't have that volume:

1 Transmit Data 6 Receive Data
2 Data Terminal Ready 7 Data Set Ready
3 Request to Send 8 Clear to Send
4 Ring Indicate 9 Data Carrier
5 No Connection 10 Signal Ground

Transmit Data, Data Terminal Ready and Request to Send are OUTPUT from
the card, all others are input ( except ground which is neither ).

Good luck!
