I have heard that there are fixes to some of IBM's font convertors for the PC/RT. In particular, I need fixes for bdftosnf, snftortx, and/or pktortx. I'm trying to get TEXX2 to run on an IBM PC/RT running AIX 2.2.1. Everything seems to work except that most fonts are bad when generated by the mftobdf program (which comes with TEXX2 distribution) and converted to RT's X11 rtx format. I convert using mf --> bdf --> snf --> rtx, using mftobdf and IBM's versions of bdftosnf and snftortx. The same problems occur when I use IBM's pktortx convertor directly. Curiously, SOME of the generated rtx fonts do in fact look fine according to xfd. But most can't even be read by xfd. Alternatively, does anyone know of ways to try to display the bdf or snf format fonts, so I can figure out WHICH convertor(s) are causing the problems? Thanks! Dennis DeCoste
