We have purchased some 171 Mb Micropolis ESDI drives, Model 1355 for use on our IBM RTs. Before purchasing them I asked around for advice on what disks would work with RTs and was told that Micropolis drives "pop right in". However, when we went to install them today, we had some problems getting the system to recognize them for formatting. Have any of you successfully installed Micropolis drives? Would you be willing to let us call you with a verbal description of the diagnostic messages we are receiving and advise us what jumpers we need to change, or whatever, to get them to work? In exchange, I am happy to offer to document the steps we finally take to successfully install the drives and to post this for future purchasers of Micropolis drives (good deal--171 Mb for $1060. ea from Wyle Labs).
