[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] How Much Disc Space

rg@psgdc (Dick Gill) (07/27/89)

I am having a problem with our (AIX) RT (6161-115); I see far
less disc space available than I expected. I was told that the
formatted capacity of the disc was 70MB, but with my application
software on the system (<20MB), there is literally no space
left. A "df" shows about 95,000 blocks under the "total"
column; that accounts for roughly 50MB. What happened to the
other 20MB?

Use the /etc/minidisks command to see what's allocated where. I
suspect that you have 20 meg worth of pagespace, dump (hd4) and
VRM. It also might be unallocated and will show up as 'free' in
the minidisks command.
