I seem to be out of work again, and am considering spending the next
month or two trying to finish a port I started early this year
of the ibm_rt server (which has vga support) to a System V 80386 platform.
I was wondering (I wonder alot)
1. How good is the ibm_rt vga server. Can it be fairly compared to the
Interactive 386/ix server. I guess I am mainly wondering about vga
routines.
2. What's the deal with the apparent xEvent queue kept by the rt
operating system.
3. Exactly how are multiple screens implemented (what do you have to
do to switch screens). Does the multiple screen feature make up for
the small size of the vga monitor?
4. Has anyone rewritten any of the ppc (proprietary code) and released it
in the public domain.
5. I have the first set of patches to the rt server. How does one keep
up to date on the rt?
6. If anyone in Atlanta would give me a demo of the rt server.
7. If any hot-shot C programmers (in Atlanta) would like to help
me with this project.
Thanks,
Tom
