I'm trying to find out if anybody knows how to add a new line discipline to the IBM RT-PC 6150. We are running AIX 2.2.1 and as far as I can see, there is no obvious way of doing this. One more problem I am having is with the porting of a multiplexing windowing terminal device driver. In the driver open routine, I am calling the line discipline open routine but this always hangs the machine on the second open. From my past expiriences, all the line discipline open routine does is attaches a cblock to the read buffer and sets/resets a few flags. So what I did was rather than calling the line discipline open routine, I did the work myself which cured the problem. What I can gather from this is, I am not filling in the tty structure correctly especially as there are a lot of new additions to this stucture.
