[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] TCP/IP for AIX 2.21 and IBM/4.3

porten@gmdzi.UUCP (Willi Porten) (12/09/89)

Some questions about TCP/IP for IBM RT:

Are the sources of TCP/IP available for AIX 2.21 and IBM/4.3?
I know that IBM delivers the sources of their MVS and VM products,
but I have seen no sources for AIX 2.21.

Is it possible to get a snmp agent for AIX and/or IBM/4.3?

Is the BGP routing protocol implemented for AIX and or IBM/4.3?

Can I use the token ring card that I use together with AIX 2.2.1
for IBM/4.3?

Can I get a T1 and/or DS1 interface for the RT with our without
TCP/IP support?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I'm pretty sure that NYSERnet's (not free) SNMPd will port fairly easily
to IBM/4.3, I would have done it already but I don't have enough disk
space yet.

Other PD agents for 4.3 should port without much trouble.

When released, gated 2.0 will run on AIX (RT, PS/2 and 370) and IBM/4.3.
This won't be available for a while though, if you need an alpha release
for testing contact me directly.
