[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] Trouble installing X-Windows ver 11 - link error

  When I try to install the X-Windows version 11 on my RT (AIX 2.1.2),
there's an error message after all files have been read off the
diskette and the installation program is linking X (I guess the
file /usr/lpp/X11/bin/X) - I get the error message from 'ld' of
      ld: Undefined -
             .ffs
             _ffs
             _end

   So it looks like there's one routine that is called by X, but which
isn't in /lib/ anywhere. Can anyone perhaps identify this mysterious
function 'ffs', or tell me where to find it, or even say "Boy, you 
can't install X11 with AIX 2.1.2 - you need 2.2.1" I'm just a bit
lost right now.
