Has anybody gotten printer accounting to work? We have a 4216 hung off of a 6152 which we would like to keep records on. The System Administrators Guide wasn't much help. Any help would be appreciated. +------------------------+---------------------------------------------+ | Bill Kirby | Internet: bkirby@cs.umr.edu | | Computer Science Dept. | Bitnet: bkirby%cs.umr.edu@umrvmb.bitnet | | University of MO-Rolla | UUCP: ...!uunet!cs.umr.edu!bkirby | +------------------------+---------------------------------------------+

If an accounting file (af) is defined, and it exists, accounting information will be written there by lpd(8). You can also check out the System Manager's Manual, section 6. If your 6152 is using an RT for its system files, be sure that the accounting file is on the local disk. The RT may not let you write there.
