I fired up my Godbout system after reading about the new pc compatible video boards, hoping to eventually run msdos. I have a number of different versions of cp/m-86 going back quite sometime that I never used. The 8088 processor just took up space until I brought up cpm-80 version 2.2n after having my System support, Cpu, and Disk1 upgraded by Godbout. How much memory is required for cpm-86? I have 128k of ram and still can not seem to get this stuff to work right. When I try to use ed, I get a screen full of zero's that seem to scroll by forever. When I try to execute help, the system tells me that there are too many indicies or something like that. I am going to try to reproduce what I see here when I boot up the system, maybe some smart guy will be able to point me in the right direction. By the way, I have (1) ram16 and (1) ram17. 1. When I boot cpm-80 vers 2.2n everything run a-ok. I have beat this around quite abit running with and without extended i/o (interrupts) and of course using the 2nd 64k board as a ramdisk (54k). The prompt at bootup: CompuPro Systems 64k CP/M 2.2n+xm > 2.When I boot up CP/M-86 1.1NA everything looks ok, but I can not use the editor and the help facility as stated earlier. Am I reading something incorrectly? 3.Now here is the good one. The problems is still the same as with the older version (1.1na), but now I do see the ram size in prompt.
