IBM includes the VDI stuff in their AIX 2.2.1 release for various
display combinations... Well, I've loaded the EGA stuff since I
have an ega monitor but so far it seems to be sort of a waste of
time... What's the purpose of this stuff? I've never been able to
do ANYTHING even remotely bitmapped with this display.. I've tried
installing new fonts et'al to no avail.. Is it entirely possible
that you can't do any bitmapped operations on this display with
AIX??? That's the impression I'm beginning to get but then what's
the point of this vdiega stuff?
