While we're on the subject of serial ports, does anyone know how I could take an AT COM3/COM4 card (uses interrupts 4 and 3, addresses 2e8-2ef and 2e0-2e7) and install it in an RT that already has sp1 (COM1) and sp2 (COM2) installed? We're using AIX 2.1.2. I've tried tinkering with "predefined" and /etc/ddi/tty, but with no luck; even though I create "sp3" and "sp4" ports in the predefined file, devices "recognizes" the card as sp1 and sp2. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. If you have no idea, but have a 4-port RS-232 RT card that you'd be willing to sell for less than $75, I would also be interested in hearing from you. -Tom tew@ius3.ius.cs.cmu.edu
