Hi, I am having difficulty with my RT. My hostname command gives me the following error message when I use it: can't open control connection : No such file or directory What kind of file does this command look for? Thanks!

It would help if you'd tell us (1) whether you were trying to set or get the hostname, and (2) whether you're running AIX or AOS and perhaps a little information. As it is, I've just traced through the AOS hostname code and some of the Kernel code and I can't find any reference to the above message. Then again, I have been known to be blind, deaf, and dumb in the past. It sounds like another AIX flakiness. ...
