I've not kept up with this group much lately, so I apologize for posting this request if it's been addressed before..... We are considering the purchase of RS6000's in the future. I'd appreciate any information anyone can supply.... A few obvious questions that come to mind: 1) What hardware have you purchased ? 2) What version of the operating system are you using ? 3) What kind of environment do you operate in / what kinds of applications do you perform ? 4) What additional software / hardware is available for the system from IBM / 3rd party ? 5) What do you like / dislike about your system , from the viewpoint of "you" being : a) systems administrators ? b) (applications / end) users ? I'm certain there's much more to ask, but I'll let those who know the answers tell me what's important to know.
