Hi folks, We are trying to get pinouts and cabling informaiton on the ten-pin serial connector found on the RT and RS/6000 and are having remarkably little luck. We have one on loan for porting, and they did not (and cannot seem to) locate even a part number for these little ten-pin-to-DB-25 pigtails. Does anybody have the pinouts or part numbers for these? Also, it seems that when the CTS input line drops that it sends a SIGHUP to the process talking to the port. This causes us some Real Big Problems and we would love to find a way in software to make this go away. Turning the pin into one for hardware flow control would be best, but finding a way to have it ignored would be much better. We want to avoid having to specify a custom cable. Thanks much, please respond via email if you can help me. Steve -- Stephen J. Does anybody have the pinouts > or part numbers for these? > These connectors are the same as they use on the RT for the eight port expansion box. The part number for the AScii Terminal cable that can be used on these ports is 6298525 (option number 6298186). But the following is the real important info. pin 1 = TxD 2 = DTR 3 = RTS 4 = 5 = 6 = RxD 7 = DSR 8 = CTS 9 = CD 10 = Signal Ground Hope this helps Geoff Coleman Unexsys Systems p.s.
