[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] Paranoid mouse when switching from BSD 4.3 to MACH 2.5

werner@nikhefk.UUCP (Werner Vogels) (10/01/90)

We just switched from BSD 4.3 (AOS) to MACH 2.5 on our IBM PC/RT's. X11R3,
which came with the distribution, run's alright. But we were running X11R4
under BSD, and would like to continue this under MACH.

Believing the binary compatability, we installed the the X11R4 environment as
we used to under BSD. Here we run into a problem: The Mouse goes Paranoid!!!

If you start up X, the mousepointer sits in the middle of the screen. Once
you have moved the mouse it wil go to one of the corners of the screen and
won't leave this corner unless flashing to one of the other corners.

Could someone inform me what we did wrong ??

We are running Moniterm on a apa16

Thanks in advance.....
