[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] RT ESDI Drives

pmartin@uceng.UC.EDU (Paul Martin) (10/26/90)

Does anyone know if one can put a standard "PC" ESDI Hard Drive in an RT.
Also does anyone know where on can find new RT parts (ie third party vendors?)
I am trying to find extra hard drives for my RT's.

thanks in advance.

You can buy the drives from MAXTOR. Make sure that your distributor
understands that you are putting them into an RT. IBM (just to make life
difficult I am sure) had MAXTOR slightly modify the disks. You will also
need the AIX 2.2.1 VRM installation diskette in order to format the drive.
