I have several IBM RT workstations, model 125, all with the 6153 console (the small monochrome monitor). They are running the AOS 4.3 Release 2 (Sept 88) operating system. The X window distribution that comes with that does not support the 6153 console! I can run client applications fine on the RT, but I can't use them as X servers. Does anybody know where I can get an X server implementation for the RT that includes support for this model of console? It has to run under AOS 4.3; we are not going to switch to AIX. The 6153 is an monitor that is connected to an APA8 card. The standard server
with AOS only supports the APA16 card. Just recompile the server for an APA8,
and everything should work fine.
I would advice to use the X11R4 server instead of the X11R3 wich comes with
the AOS distribution, the new one is really fast. There is no need to run AIX.

I see you are the proud owner of IBM's "Advanced" display. Well, I don't think that there's an X11 driver for the advanced display, but don't you worry. She's a beauty in glass tty mode! :-) I think there was an X10 driver. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Jacob M.
