I'm in the process of adding a second and third E70 drive to a IBM-RT running 4.3 bsd. I made a straight through 34 pin cable that goes to all the drives. The problem seems to be in how to set the switches on the drive (drive select) to work properly. IBM recommends (for their twisted cable): Internal Installation ---------- |Off On | 1 | X | 2 | X | 3 | X | 4 | X | 5 | X | 6 | X | ---------- I find that this works for the first drive (with my no twist cable): Internal Installation ---------- |Off On | 1 | X | 2 | X | 3 | X | 4 | X | 5 | X | 6 | X | ---------- I have no idea how to set the switches for the second and third drive. My guess of ---------- |Off On | 1 | X | 2 | X | 3 | X | 4 | X | 5 | X | 6 | X | ---------- for the second drive didn't work.
