[comp.sys.ibm.pc.rt] graphics tablet on a 6150 running 4.3

I'm attempting to attach a Calcomp 2000 graphics tablet to a
6150 runing 4.3 via the planar serial port. I would like to use
the TABLDISC line discipline. Everything works as it is
supposed to, provided Xibm is not running. If the X server is running,
reads on the serial port block. In addition, the stylus for
the graphics tablet appears to control the X cursor... but incorrectly.
Any stylus motion moves the cursor to the bottom right hand
corner of the display. So it appears the X server is intercepting
the tablet input. Whether deliberately or inadvertantly, I do not know.
This would be acceptable behavior, provided it worked correctly.
Any information regarding what is supposed to happen would be
greatly appreciated.
