Is there any way to have the system not dump these files everytime a user goes into SMIT? Thanks. BRYAN R. There are two options that I am aware of: 1) link ~/smit.log and ~/smit.script to /dev/null or 2) start SMIT with the flags "-l /dev/null -s /dev/null" Either way, SMIT is still dumping the data, it is just going to the bit bucket. -- - This is only an exhibition, not a competition, so please....no wagering. - David L.
